I nabbed up this cute Chan Luu scarf from Garnet Hill on sale for $98 which is now sold out. It was the only cashmere/silk one they had left in the zebra print (moss/nude color). I love these types of scarves because they are so light weight and comfortable. I do have a few pure cashmere scarves that I hardly wear because I feel kind of suffocated when in them.
In comparison to the Louis Vuitton Leopard Stole that I have, I must say they are fairly similar with slight differences. Both have the same material composition at 70% cashmere and 30% silk. The Louis Vuitton stole measures at 51.2"x78.7" (130x200cm) and Chan Luu's scarf measures at 62"x58" (157.5x147.3cm). Although both are very soft, I would say Louis Vuitton wins with softness because the Chan Luu has a slightly coarser weave but its almost unnoticeable. They both have fringed ends but Louis Vuitton has the finer "eyelash" fringe and the Chan Luu has the tassel fringe. The price difference is huge with the Louis Vuitton retailing for $860 and the Chan Luu going for $245 (printed) or $195 (solid color).
I highly recommend a Chan Luu cashmere scarf into your collection. These scarves are so versatile and definitely add a nice little pop to your outfit. They do have sales from time to time so you can get one for a good price. I also love that she comes out with many different prints and colors! Next on my list is a solid color one in shale here! (I actually want them all!)
